Before I turn in for the night, here's my quote for this day from Teilhard de Chardin:
"Joy is the most infallible sign of the presence of God."
May you experience peace and joy tomorrow. Your work matters.
All the best/Allan

LOOMING THREAT DOGGEREL

I posted recently about my new book (see my TIGBlog on profile) that's coming out in October. I want you to buy, beg or steal a copy when it comes out because I believe, if appropriate, it can change you life. Then I want you to tell your fiends about it. ALL OF US OUR CEOs OF OUR OWN LIVES! The major concept of the book is "Style-of-Life," first conceived by the great Vienna psychologist Alfred Adler. No matter what our walk of life, we create a Style-of-Life for ourselves that is either a Guardian Presence or Looming threat. For those of us who have created a Looming Threat for ourselves, our challenge is to replace it with a Guardian Presence. The book will show you how you can do that, and I assure you, you'll be glad you did.
Here's a little ragged fun with the point I'm making . . .
“LOOMING THREAT”
Once I had a looming threat,
That lived within the depths of me.
All too soon my looming threat,
Made clear I’d never be let free.
So I wondered deep and wide,
The way achievers often do.
What, prey tell, do I now hide,
That keeps my soul from being true?
Then I saw my purpose poorly spent.
This was clearly my life’s main event.
Now reclaimed my Destiny,
And my looming threat is merely history.
From Allan Cox with apologies to the author of “Once I Had a Secret Love.”

Here's what advance readers of Your Inner CEO have to say:
One of the greatest challenges that leaders confront is to motivate their people and organizations to reach beyond themselves to achieve their true potential. Allan Cox, in his inimitable way, writes that leaders may be undervaluing a key ingredient in reaching that goal—reaching inside to achieve the leaders' full potential—professionally, personally and spiritually—as a prerequisite for leading subordinates and peers to greater accomplishments. The message of Your Inner CEO for me is clear, understandable and compelling: "Leaders, reach inside and create your real potential, then lead your organization and its people to similar success."
